Re: Sam Westley
Plenty of successful, professional businesses have a friend / relative of the CEO employed to do a relatively mental, low paid job. Nothing different to what has happened here. He'll never be in the first team, and having West Ham on your CV for 5 years might make a League 1/2 club more likely to pick him up.

Our record of youth stepping up into the first team is currently pretty abysmal - the only way is up from that point of view.

Exactly, and everything is pointing to that changing under Westley.

Cool. I'll wait and see. Forgive me if I don't take your vague opinions as fact.

Some on here used to say that Allardyce was a champion of youth players within the club. We saw how that turned out. The proof's in the pudding, as indicated. Our record of youth stepping up into the first team is currently pretty abysmal - the only way is up from that point of view.

Re: Sam Westley
That's because you don't go to West Ham games.

Some of us do, and we've got some superb young players coming through, who will go on to be 1st team regulars 100%

Maybe you'll see for yourself if you buy a ticket and go to a game, you fucking lunch?

Can you explain how it's improved?

Re: Sam Westley
Terry Westly has improved the academy a lot since he took over. It had sadly stagnated under Tony Carr at the end.

Not sure that Sam Westley's mum is Brady's pa?

Last time I spoke to her she was running a football supplies shop in Ipswich which she sold last year.

So is Bilic but none of his kids have a contract.

Re: Sam Westley
Its small beer but smacks of unprofessionalism and is of no benefit to the club.
It also means one more kid has been released to make room for him.
Have always said that now we are in the new stadium we need a proper football person in Brady's position.
I blame his father for putting the kid in this position and people further up for allowing it.

Re: Sam Westley
Seeing as our youth strategy seems better than it has done at any time for the past 15 years, I'm not too concerned about this.

Re: Sam Westley
It is true and he's not been moved on as his family are fiends of the board.

It's why Westley got put in in place of Carr I reckon, more of a yes man.
